Usage
The Cylindre double EUROPROFIL (PZ) CISA Astral S DUO 30/75 is designed to secure doors in residential and commercial settings where high resistance to burglary techniques such as snapping, bumping, picking, and drilling is required.
Advantages
- Patented anti-snap core reinforced with six rigid steel segments and one flexible segment for increased protection against break-ins from both sides of the door[1][3][8].
- High drill resistance due to hardened carbonitrided steel pins positioned at critical points within the cylinder[1][5].
- BKP anti-bumping mechanism ensures strong defense against bump key attacks for improved security[1][5].
- Unique clutch system allows operation even when a key is inserted on the opposite side, enhancing user convenience and safety[8].
- No copy protection on keys; duplicate keys can be made without restrictions if needed—a minor drawback regarding key management[5].
Specifications
- Design & Materials: Brass body with a dual-material laminated steel core; ten-pin system (six active pins, four passive)[1][3].[5]
- Sustainability & Certification: Tested to EN1303 European standard; SKG** certified; grade six durability (100,000 operational cycles)[5][8].
- Performance Metrics: Over 1.6 million possible key variations; withstands up to +40% higher extraction force compared to standard cylinders; supports organigrammes with up to 63,000 different cylinders per masterkey[3][5].
- Differentiating Features: Double cylinder Euro profile design (external: 30mm / internal: 75mm); satin nickel or brass finish options available; reversible flat nickel-plated brass keys supplied as standard. Clutch function provides emergency access from either side.[4][8]
How it works
This mechanical double cylinder lock installs into Euro profile door hardware. The user inserts a flat reversible key into either end of the cylinder—if one side is occupied by a key, the clutch mechanism still permits unlocking from the other. Security features such as anti-snap bars and hardened pins actively resist unauthorized entry attempts by force or manipulation[1][4][8].
