Usage
The SAV Pivot mâle E5 is used as a pivot fitting for timber window frames, supporting sash rotation. It is suitable for right-side installation on wooden windows and compatible with ROTO systems for wood, PVC, and aluminium frames.
Advantages
- Optimised for timber window sashes in tilt-and-turn or turn-only applications.
- Supports heavy loads up to 150 kg per sash, ensuring robust performance.
- Narrow pivot design allows installation in limited lateral spaces (21 mm).
- Equipped with two Ø7 mm pins providing stable and secure mounting.
- Lateral clearance requirements enable flexibility during renovation or new installations; minor drawback: limited to specific frame clearances (jeu 12/18-9(13)).
Specifications
- Narrow chassis pivot constructed for wood frames; steel components ensure longevity and structural stability.
- Satisfies common European standards for window hardware; designed within ROTO’s proven NT/NX system compatibility range.[1][8]
- Maximum supported sash weight: up to 150 kg; pin diameter: Ø7 mm; lateral clearance: min. lateral space required is only 21 mm.[1]
- Differentiated by its minimal bottom clearance of just 5 mm and ability to fit narrow profile windows where space is restricted.[1]
How it works
The pivot fitting mounts into the timber sash frame using two robust pins. Once installed, it acts as a durable rotational axis allowing the window sash to be opened or closed smoothly within precise tolerances maintained by the specified clearances.
