Usage
The Dorma standard scissor arm for TS 73 EMF enables controlled opening, hold-open, and closing of fire and smoke protection doors in commercial or public buildings. Suitable for single- and double-leaf installations with concealed door closers.
Advantages
- Allows secure electromagnetic hold-open between 75° and 180°, ideal for flexible access control
- Compatible with door widths up to 1,400 mm, fitting a broad range of applications
- Non-handed design simplifies stock management and installation for left or right-opening doors
- No need to adjust the hold-open point—users simply open the door to the desired angle
- The free-swing function can be activated if required, enabling resistance-free operation for accessibility needs
Specifications
- Robust steel construction with electrohydraulic technology provides both durability and precise movement control[3][4]
- Certified in accordance with EN 1154 (door closer) and EN 1155 (hold-open device), ISO 9001 quality assured[4]
- Compatible with doors up to: width = 1,400 mm; weight = up to approx. 120 kg; overall dimensions: length = 320 mm × depth 45.5 mm × height 60 mm; power input: max. 24 VDC ±15%, max. 2 W; total weight: approx. 3.4 kg[4]
- Latching speed adjustable via arm; infinitely variable closing speed via valve; stable hold-open at chosen angle from ≥ 75° up to maximum opening range[3][4]
How it works
The scissor arm connects the TS 73 EMF door closer mechanism to the door leaf, transmitting closing force smoothly while enabling an integrated electromagnetic unit to securely hold doors open at selected angles or release them automatically when triggered by a fire alarm system.
