Usage
This insulating compound is designed for use with floor-concealed door closers, providing thermal and acoustic isolation between the closer mechanism and the surrounding construction. It is suitable for installation during new builds or renovation projects.
Advantages
- Ensures optimal operation of concealed floor door closers by protecting against temperature fluctuations.
- Reduces acoustic transmission through the floor structure, enhancing privacy and comfort.
- Formulated for easy application during installation alongside standard door closer assemblies.
- Chemically stable at service temperatures encountered in typical building environments.
- The need to handle a separate packaging unit may require coordination on-site during construction phases.
Specifications
- Pre-measured mass: supplied as a single piece containing 0.5 kg of insulating compound per unit package.
- Synthetic mineral-based composition adapted for construction applications; non-corrosive and compatible with metals typically used in door closing systems.[1][5]
- Sustains insulation performance across common ambient temperature ranges for interior floors; maintains integrity without shrinkage or crumbling when cured.[1][5]
- Permanently bonds within its enclosure to form a durable barrier between the concealed closer body and surrounding screed or flooring material.[1]
How it works
The product is applied around the floor-embedded concealed door closer body prior to pouring screed or installing flooring. It sets in place, creating an insulating buffer that mitigates heat transfer and dampens noise transmission while maintaining full access to all mechanical functions of the installed closer system.[1][5]
