Product
The Premium COB LED Strip delivers a seamless, uniform line of warm white light across 5 metres without visible diode points. Ideal for accent lighting, cove installations, under-cabinet illumination, and architectural detailing in indoor environments.
Specifications
- COB (Chip-on-Board) technology with a slim 8mm width produces a continuous, dot-free light output, distinguishing it from traditional SMD LED strips
- Operates at 24V DC with a power consumption of 13W per metre and a luminous output of 1180 lm per metre in warm white
- IP20 rating, designed for dry indoor use only
- Total roll length of 5 metres, cuttable every 50mm at clearly marked intervals to achieve any desired section length
- Pre-wired on both ends with AMP connectors for fast, reliable installation
- Extended lifespan and lower energy consumption compared to equivalent SMD-based LED strips
- Self-adhesive backing for straightforward mounting on clean, flat surfaces
Usage
Peel off the adhesive backing and apply the strip to a clean, dry surface such as an aluminium profile, shelf underside, or ceiling recess. Connect the pre-fitted AMP plugs to a compatible 24V LED driver. Cut at any 50mm increment mark to fit the exact length required. Pair with a dedicated LED profile for improved heat dissipation and a more refined finish.
FAQ
- What is the difference between COB and SMD LED strips? COB strips place the LED chips extremely close together under a single phosphor layer, producing a smooth, continuous line of light with no visible hotspots. SMD strips use individually spaced diodes, which can create a dotted appearance at close range.
- Can this strip be cut to a custom length? Yes, it can be cut every 50mm at the designated cutting marks, allowing precise customisation to fit any installation length.
- Is this strip suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use? No. With an IP20 rating, this strip is intended for dry indoor environments only. For wet or outdoor areas, choose a strip with a higher IP rating such as IP65 or IP67.
- What power supply do I need? A constant-voltage 24V DC LED driver is required. To determine the appropriate wattage, multiply 13W by the total strip length in metres you plan to use, then add a 15–20% safety margin.
- How do I connect the strip to a driver? The strip comes pre-wired with AMP connectors on both ends, enabling a quick plug-in connection to a compatible driver or controller without soldering.
