Usage
Silicone neutre AM85-1 gris fer RAL7011 310ml is designed for sealing connection and expansion joints in the construction industry, including glazing, facades, and interior walls. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use where a durable, iron-grey finish is required.
Advantages
- Neutral oxime curing silicone with permanent elasticity for long-lasting joint flexibility.
- Excellent adhesion to most building materials without primer, including glass, aluminum, concrete, and treated wood.
- High resistance to UV exposure and weathering ensures stability in exterior applications.
- Very easy to apply due to its smooth paste consistency; one-component formula simplifies handling.
- MEKO-free formulation reduces health risks during application; not paintable or recommended for sanitary environments[1][2][3].
Specifications
- Cured material: Neutral oxime-RTV silicone (polysiloxane-based), RAL7011 iron grey color.
- Carries CE/UKCA marks according EN15651 (F EXT-INT/G) with French VOC emission class A+; ATG-certified and SNJF Façade approved[1].
- Densité : 1.21 g/ml. Temperature resistance from -50°C to +150°C. Elastic recovery >80% (ISO7389). Curing speed: up to 3 mm after 24 h at standard conditions[1][5]. Shelf life sealed: up to 15 months in cool storage (+5°C/+25°C).[1]
- Pasta-like consistency for easy tooling; maximum movement capacity of ±25%. Skin forms within approx. 15 min at room temperature. Elongation at break: ~300%[1]. VOC content under 100 g/liter.[3]
How it works
Apply AM85-1 silicone by cartridge gun directly into clean joints between construction elements. The paste cures via air humidity at room temperature forming a permanently elastic seal that absorbs joint movements while protecting against water ingress and weather effects[1][6].
