Usage
The Intermat 9944 W-45 hinge is designed for mounting overlay doors at a -45° angle on furniture, particularly suited for cabinets with angled or corner construction in residential or commercial interiors.
Advantages
- Allows a wide 125° opening angle, increasing access to cabinet interiors and ease of use.
- Self-closing function ensures automatic and secure door closure without the need for damping components.
- Screw-on assembly enables reliable installation and removal without specialized tools.
- Compatible with door thicknesses from 15 mm to 28 mm, supporting a range of panel sizes.
- No integrated soft-close mechanism; may permit more abrupt door closure compared to damped hinges.
Specifications
- Design / Materials: Nickel-plated steel construction, concealed mounting style; screw-on application; TH drilling pattern (52 x 5.5 mm); cup diameter: 35 mm; cup depth: approx. 12.7 mm[1][4][5].
- Durability / Certifications: Tested in accordance with EN15570 Level 2 for durability and performance[4].
- Measurable Performance: Maximum opening angle: 125°; minimum door thickness: 15 mm; maximum door thickness: 28 mm[1][4]. Overlay adjustment: +1 mm/–2.5 mm, depth adjustment up to +4 mm[5].
- Differentiating Features: Specially designed for –45° carcass angles in overlay applications. Provides firm self-closing action but does not feature an integrated soft-close system[1][9].
How it works
The hinge is mounted by screwing into the cabinet side panel using the specified drilling pattern. Once installed on an overlay-style angled cabinet, its self-closing mechanism engages as the door approaches the closed position, providing automatic closure at a wide range of movement angles[3][4][5].
