Usage
The Cheville Spit TAPCON HFL Ø6 40mm is designed for secure anchoring in cracked or non-cracked concrete, hollow core slabs, and sand-lime stone. Ideal for heavy-duty fixings in construction, infrastructure, and mechanical installations.
Advantages
- Suitable for use in both cracked and non-cracked concrete
- ETA approved anchor ensuring compliance with stringent safety standards
- Removable design allows temporary fixings and easy adjustments during installation
- Zinc-flake coating provides high corrosion resistance (over 500 hours salt spray tested)
- A reduced drilling diameter enables closer edge distances and tighter spacing between anchors
Specifications
- Self-tapping screw with hexagonal head for fast installation into concrete substrates [Ø6 mm diameter; length: 40 mm]
- Manufactured from high-quality carbon steel with a protective zinc-flake coating for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance [salt spray test >500 h]
- Fire-rated performance; ETA Option 1 approved for cracked/non-cracked concrete applications; adjustable without performance loss [min. drilling depth: 40 mm, min. embedment: 35 mm]
- Differentiated by its patented thread design enabling easy setting, removability after use, and minimal impact on base material edges or spacing requirements
How it works
This self-tapping anchor is inserted into a pre-drilled hole using standard equipment. As the screw advances into the substrate, its specialized threads cut directly into the base material—securing heavy fixtures safely while allowing full removal or repositioning if needed.
