Usage
The Spit TAPCON HFL Ø10 120mm is a self-tapping concrete screw with hexagonal head designed for secure fastening into cracked and non-cracked concrete, hollow core concrete slabs, and silico-calcareous stone.
Advantages
- ETA Option 1 approved for use in cracked and non-cracked concrete with fire resistance rating
- Longer effective thread provides market-leading performance with patented design for easy installation
- Fully adjustable and removable without performance loss, making it ideal for temporary fixings
- Reduced drilling diameter allows for installation at reduced edge distances and spacing
- Special aluminum-zinc coating (zinc-flake) offers excellent corrosion resistance (>500 hours salt spray test)
Specifications
- Diameter: 10mm with hexagonal head design that requires no separate washer
- Length: 120mm allowing for optimal embedment depth of 35mm minimum with significant fixing thickness capability
- Certified through European Technical Assessment (ETA) for concrete and hollow core slabs with tested performance in silico-calcareous stone
- High-performance undercut anchor technology that reduces installation time while maintaining structural integrity
How it works
Installation requires drilling a hole in the base material using a standard carbide drill bit matching the anchor diameter. After cleaning the hole, insert the screw through the fixture and into the hole, then tighten with a wrench until the hex-washer head contacts the fixture. The specialized thread design undercuts the concrete to efficiently transfer load to the base material.
