Usage
The Cheville Spit TAPCON HFL Ø8 70mm is designed for secure anchoring in cracked and non-cracked concrete, hollow-core slabs, and silicate stone. Suitable for heavy-duty fixings in structural and installation applications.
Advantages
- Self-tapping hexagonal head enables quick installation without pre-expansion steps.
- Approved for use in both cracked and non-cracked concrete (ETA Option 1 certified).
- Removable design allows temporary or adjustable fixings with easy re-alignment.
- Patented thread design provides reduced edge distances and minimizes substrate damage.
- A minor drawback: requires correct drilling depth to achieve maximum performance.
Specifications
- Zinc-flake coated steel offers excellent corrosion resistance (>500 hours salt spray tested).
- Meets ETA Option 1 approval for structural safety; fire rated for increased security in demanding environments.
- Screw diameter: Ø8 mm; Length: 70 mm. Designed to deliver high load capacity while keeping drilling diameter minimal.
- Differentiating feature: full removability without performance loss, enabling repeated installations or adjustments if required.
How it works
Drill the specified hole and insert the TAPCON HFL anchor. As you tighten the hex head screw, its threads cut into the base material, providing a secure mechanical connection suitable for both permanent and temporary heavy fixings.
