Usage
The Cheville Spit TAPCON HFL Ø6 50mm is designed for securely fastening heavy loads into cracked and non-cracked concrete, hollow core slabs, and limestone materials. Suitable for industrial, construction, and installation applications.
Advantages
- Compatible with a wide range of substrates including cracked and non-cracked concrete as well as hollow core slabs.
- ETA Option 1 certified for use in structural and safety-critical projects.
- Removable design allows temporary or repositionable fixing without loss of load capacity.
- Narrow drilling diameter enables close edge distances and dense anchor placement.
- No special tools required; can be installed quickly with standard equipment.
Specifications
- Self-tapping metal anchor screw with hexagonal head; made from steel with zinc flake coating for enhanced corrosion resistance (tested to over 500 hours in salt spray).
- Carries ETA Option 1 certification for cracked/non-cracked concrete, fire approval; conforms to European standards for heavy fixings.
- Screw diameter: Ø6 mm; length: 50 mm; recommended minimum embedment depth: ≥35 mm; maximum fixture thickness: up to 15 mm per technical table.
- Differentiating features include a patented thread design reducing installation time while providing high pull-out strength and easy removability.
How it works
The anchor is inserted into a pre-drilled hole in the base material. As the self-tapping screw is tightened, its thread cuts into the substrate, creating secure mechanical interlock. Full removal is possible if repositioning or temporary fixing are required.
