Usage
The Baton cire dure 179 is designed for use with the Novoryt repair kit to restore and touch up scratches, dents, chips, or drill holes on PVC window and door frames. Ideal for both workshop and on-site applications.
Advantages
- Precisely matched shade 179 for compatibility with specific PVC profiles, ensuring discreet repairs[1].
- Hard wax composition provides robust filling capability for various surface imperfections[1].
- Melting point of 81°C allows controlled application without damaging adjacent materials[1].
- Simplifies maintenance by enabling localized repair rather than full component replacement[1].
- Straightforward to use in combination with Novoryt's complete repair kit accessories (melter, scraper, finishers)[1][5].
Specifications
- Form: Hard wax stick; length: approximately 8 cm; specific color reference: tone 179 (for recognized PVC finishes)[1].
- Chemically stable formulation; remains durable after application. Suitable for Rénolit, Hornschuch, and Cova foil finishes[1][5].
- Melting temperature: approximately 81°C; creates a resilient fill that withstands routine handling.
- Differentiating feature: Designed specifically to seamlessly match common decorative coatings found on modern PVC frames[1][5].
How it works
The stick is melted using a dedicated melter or heat source so the softened wax can be applied into defects on the PVC profile. Once cooled and hardened, any excess material is removed for a smooth finish matching the original frame surface[1][5][7].
