Usage
The Baton cire dure 458 is designed for targeted repairs of scratches, impacts, chips or drill holes on PVC profiles, especially window and door frames in workshops or during installation.
Advantages
- Compatible with multiple PVC profile finishes including Rénolit, Hornschuch, and Cova films
- Provides a durable and discreet repair for visible surface defects
- Easy to apply with standard gas melter tools included in Novoryt kits
- Suitable for use both onsite and in workshop environments
- A minor drawback: precise color matching may require referencing manufacturer’s correspondence tables for best results
Specifications
- Semi-hard wax formulation engineered by Novoryt for lasting fill and bond performance[1][2]
- Suits repair of white or film-coated (Rénolit, Hornschuch, Cova) PVC profiles[1][5]
- Baton length typically compatible with Novoryt kit dispensers; optimized size ensures economical repairs (length/diameter according to kit standard)
- Tolerates commonly encountered temperature fluctuations on window/door surfaces after curing[9]
How it works
The stick is melted using a compatible gas melter tool from the Novoryt kit. The liquefied wax is applied directly into the damaged area of the PVC profile. Once cooled and solidified, excess material can be smoothed out using an abrasive pad or steel scraper supplied in the repair set.[1][6]
