Usage
The BB Locks A1 Basic 25 SX electric lock is designed for secure access control in high-security environments such as commercial, institutional, or industrial buildings. It integrates into doors where reliable locking and quick release on command are required.
Advantages
- Fail-safe operation: unlocks automatically during power loss for emergency safety.
- Automatic locking mechanism ensures the door is always secured when closed.
- Resistant to burglary and vandalism thanks to hardened duplex components.
- Suits multiple access systems—compatible with push buttons, keypads, card readers, or timers.
- The adjustable striker plate allows for fine installation tolerances (±2 mm).
Specifications
- The lock features a stainless steel baseplate (AISI 304), covers and hardened duplex bolt; internal electronics are protected by polyurethane resin against humidity and corrosion.
- Certified according to relevant European standards for security locks; suitable for intensive use in demanding settings.
- Operates on a controlled impulse: requires a supply of 24V DC (±5%) at up to 2.5A; maximum cable run from power source is approximately 25 meters with specified wiring.
- Differentiated by its microprocessor-controlled automatic relocking, three Hall sensors for position detection, mortise mount design without cylinder (optionally accepts europrofile or round cylinders), and rapid solenoid-driven action yielding minimal heat output during operation.
How it works
The electromechanical lock remains unlocked when unpowered (“fail-safe” mode). When powered via an authorized signal—such as from an access control device—it locks securely. The system detects when the door closes and automatically re-engages the bolt without user intervention.
