Usage
The BB Locks A1 Basic 50 SX electric lock is designed for secure access control on high-traffic doors in commercial, industrial, and institutional environments. It is suitable for applications demanding robust security and reliable electromechanical locking.
Advantages
- Automatic locking upon door closure with a 20 mm main bolt throw for immediate security
- Mechanical opening always possible via cylinder as backup
- Integrated signalization for bolt position, door status, handle and cylinder use
- High resistance to lateral force (up to 40,000 N) thanks to solid stainless steel components
- Lifespan tested to over 1 million cycles under high-frequency operation
Specifications
- The lock features a mortise design with stainless steel locking components, baseplate (AISI304), striker plate (standard or adjustable), and microprocessor-controlled intelligence.
- Carries EN14846 certification; corrosion resistance tested to ISO standards; suitable for use on fire/smoke doors according to EN1634-1.
- Powers at stabilized 24V DC (+/-5%), activation current of up to 2.2A (<0.2 sec), holding current below 130 mA. Withstands up to forty thousand newtons of lateral force on the bolt.
- Differentiating features include anti-saw pin in the bolt, polyurethane-protected PCB with triple Hall sensor door detection, options for standard or adjustable striker plates (±2mm adjustment), compatibility with both Europrofile (17 mm) and round cylinders (22 mm), available backsets in multiple sizes including the featured SX model at a backset of fifty millimeters.
How it works
This electromechanical lock operates via electrical impulse from an access system such as keypads or card readers. When activated, it unlocks briefly before relocking automatically when the door closes; manual mechanical override remains possible by key if needed.
