Product

The BB Locks A1 Basic 25 SA is a high-security electromechanical lock designed for applications requiring automatic unlocking in case of power failure. This fail-safe model is suitable for emergency exits and public building access points.

Specifications

  • Stainless steel (AISI 304) covers and hardened duplex deadbolt ensure robustness and corrosion resistance
  • 20 mm bolt projection with anti-saw pin and extremely sturdy locking components
  • Symmetrical bolt for both swing and pivoting doors (180°)
  • Adjustable and reinforced stainless steel striker included
  • Mechanically releasable at all times using a compatible profile cylinder, even under lateral pressure
  • 24 V DC power supply; momentary lock-in current: 2.2 A; holding current: 130 mA
  • Signal lines indicate bolt status (locked/unlocked) and door position (open/closed)
  • Hall effect sensors and permanent magnets for precise door status detection
  • Polyurethane resin coating for moisture protection
  • 25 mm backset version; other options available upon request
  • Fire resistance tested (60 minutes on suitable timber doors), compliant with BSEN1634-1

Usage

After the door closes, integrated Hall effect sensors detect the closed position of the striker. The spring-loaded bolt is ejected and immediately locked. In the event of a power outage, the SA version automatically unlocks the door, ensuring safe evacuation or rapid access as required by security protocols. Mechanical unlocking is always possible via installed profile cylinders.
