Usage
The BB Locks A1 Basic 30 SX electric lock is designed for secure access control on high-security doors in environments such as banks, hospitals, laboratories, and critical infrastructure facilities. It provides reliable locking and automated management for single-leaf outward-opening doors.
Advantages
- Immediate automatic locking as soon as the door closes ensures consistent security.
- Mechanical key override allows emergency or manual access even during power outages.
- Integrated signalization indicates door and bolt status (open/closed, locked/unlocked) for monitoring systems.
- High resistance to forced entry with a stainless steel construction and anti-saw bolt pin.
- Certified fire resistance according to EN1634-1; tested under intensive use up to one million cycles.[1][3][4]
Specifications
- The lock features a mortise design with hardened stainless steel components: baseplate, bolt, cylinder block, and striker plate. Locking components are precision-mounted for longevity.[1][4]
- Carries EN14846 certification for electromechanical locks; fire-rated to EN1634-1 standards. Corrosion resistance tested at up to 240 hours in saline conditions.[3][4]
- Bolt projection: 20 mm; lateral force resistance: up to 40,000 N (≈5500 lb). Activation current: approximately 2.2A @24V DC (0.2 sec); holding current: <130 mA.[1][3][4]
- Differentiating features include adjustable or standard striker plate options and compatibility with both Ø17 mm and Ø22 mm Euro cylinders. The lock is fail-secure (“fail-locked”): remains locked if power fails but can always be opened mechanically by key.[1][3]
How it works
This electromechanical security lock is activated by an external impulse—such as an access control system button or reader—which retracts the deadbolt electrically. When closed, the door automatically relocks via spring-driven mechanism; mechanical unlocking is always possible using a traditional key.[1][3]
