Product
Automatic drop-down seal plinth for doors, designed to close the gap between door leaf and floor when the door shuts. Suitable for both wooden and security doors in residential, commercial, or technical environments.
Specifications
- Rigid glass-fiber reinforced nylon linkage system for stable, precise vertical drop
- Metal self-directional push-button with adjustable nylon cap (3 mm hex key)
- Fire-retardant silicone seal (UL94-V0 class) for improved fire protection
- Uniform contact pressure on different floor types along the full door width
- Side brackets included for secure installation
- Can be shortened by up to 135 mm to fit specific door widths
Usage
When the door closes, the push-button presses against the frame or an external stop, activating the internal linkage. The internal profile drops in a guillotine motion, first on the push-button side, then on the opposite side, until the fire-retardant seal rests evenly on the floor, closing the gap and improving sealing performance.
FAQ
-
[What types of doors is this automatic plinth compatible with? - Question - It is designed for installation on wooden and armoured or security doors, commonly used in residential, office, and technical applications.]
-
[How does the automatic drop-down mechanism operate? - Question - A metal push-button, compressed by the door frame or a stop, activates rigid glass-fiber reinforced nylon linkages that lower the internal profile so the silicone seal contacts the floor.]
-
[Can the plinth be adjusted to fit different door widths? - Question - Yes, it can be shortened by up to 135 mm, allowing adaptation to a range of standard door sizes while maintaining correct operation.]
-
[What kind of sealing performance does it provide on various floors? - Question - The rigid linkage system ensures uniform pressure of the seal along the entire length, enabling effective contact on uneven or different floor materials.]
-
[How is the product installed on the door? - Question - It is fixed using supplied side brackets. The installer mounts the plinth in a routed groove or surface position, then adjusts the push-button via a 3 mm hex key to fine-tune the drop and floor contact.]
