Usage
The BB Locks A1 Basic 35 SX electric lock is designed for high-security access control in commercial and institutional settings, such as banks, hospitals, and public buildings. It is ideal for doors requiring secure monitoring and robust locking.
Advantages
- Immediate bolt locking when the door closes for reliable security
- Mechanical cylinder override always available in case of power loss
- Stainless steel components ensure resistance to tampering and corrosion
- Integrated position sensors provide real-time status of bolt and door state
- Sustains frequent use with a tested endurance of up to 1,000,000 cycles; may require professional installation due to technical specifications
Specifications
- The lock features a cast stainless steel baseplate, duplex deadbolt with a throw of 20 mm, and adjustable or standard striker plates for precise fitting.
- Carries EN14846 certification; meets fire safety standard EN1634-1 (suitable for fire/smoke doors); corrosion resistance tested to over 240 hours.
- Operates at stabilized 24V DC (±5%), consuming maximum activation current of approximately 2.2A (0.2 sec), holding current below 130 mA; lateral force resistance exceeds 40,000 N (≈4,080 kgf).
- Differentiators include microprocessor-controlled functions with three integrated Hall-sensors for door/bolt detection, polyurethane-sealed electronics against moisture/dust ingress, anti-saw pin in bolt construction, optional adjustable striker plate (+/- 2 mm), compatible with both euro profile (17 mm) and round cylinders (22 mm), available in several backsets including the specific 35 mm SX variant.
How it works
The lock uses an electric release mechanism that emits the bolt upon signal from access control devices. Automatic relocking occurs upon door closure. In case of system failure or emergency situations, mechanical key operation remains possible at all times.
