Usage

The Cisa TEKNO DUO double high-security cylinder 40/55 is designed for securing entrance and internal doors in residential and commercial buildings where advanced mechanical protection is required.

Advantages

  • 10-pin (6 active, 4 passive) key bitting system boosts resistance to picking and bumping attacks.
  • Multi-layered drill, pull, snap, and extraction protection through hardened steel components on both sides of the cylinder.
  • Patented key profile ensures controlled duplication—keys can only be copied with the supplied security card.
  • Clutch-type cam enables emergency opening even if a key remains inserted on the opposite side.
  • Smooth operation with phosphor bronze and steel springs; minor drawback: installation requires professional fitting for optimal performance.

Specifications

  • Cylinder body constructed from nickel-plated brass; internal components include cemented steel pins, variable shape hardened steel pin drivers, double-sided control pin, self-lubricating DIN sintered steel clutch-type cam, phosphor bronze and steel springs.
  • Tested to EN1303:2015 standards for durability ≥100,000 cycles; certified attack resistance level: Grade B (drill/pick/pull).
  • Total length: 95 mm (external side: 40 mm / internal side: 55 mm); weight approx. 0.36 kg per unit; fits Euro-profile doors with standard fixing screw included as standard equipment[5][1][7].
  • BKP patented system provides proven bump-key resistance; includes three ergonomic flat nickel-plated keys plus a security card for authorized duplication[7].

How it works

The cylinder is installed into a compatible lock case. Operation occurs by inserting the authorized flat key into either side of the cylinder. The encoded pins align with those in the plug to allow rotation of the cam mechanism and unlock or lock your door securely. The clutch function provides emergency access even if a key remains inserted from inside.[1][3][7]
