Usage
This set of 2 Cisa TEKNO DUO double cylinders is designed for securing entry doors in both residential and commercial environments, delivering a high level of mechanical protection against forced and surreptitious access attempts.
Advantages
- Dual-cylinder configuration enables locking and unlocking from both sides of the door for user convenience.
- Very high security design resists picking, bumping, drilling, and physical attacks due to advanced internal mechanisms.
- Constructed with durable materials such as hardened steel inserts to enhance drill resistance and product longevity.
- Meets or exceeds recognized certification standards for high-security cylinders (e.g., ANSI/BHMA A156.30 Level C or UL437) for proven performance under attack simulations[5][7][9].
- The double profile (45/50 mm) provides compatibility with a wide range of European mortise locks; installation may require precise measurement checks depending on the door thickness—a minor limitation in some cases.
Specifications
- Design & Materials: Double Euro profile mechanical cylinders, core made from brass with embedded hardened steel anti-drill inserts; supplied as a matched set of two cylinders.
- Durability & Certifications: Rated for over 100,000 operating cycles; conforms to EN1303:2015 standard and certified under ANSI/BHMA A156.30 or UL437 where applicable[5][7]. Weather- and corrosion-resistant construction supports long-term use indoors or outdoors.
- Performance: Cylinder size: exterior length (45 mm), interior length (50 mm). Delivers key-controlled security—patented key profile prevents unauthorized duplication. Withstands drilling attempts up to ten minutes during certification tests[5].
- Differentiating Features: Includes advanced anti-pick pins, paracentric keyway design to resist lock manipulation tools, sidebar mechanism or secondary locking component for enhanced defense against unauthorized access[4][6][7]. Compatible with master keying systems if required by facility management needs[3].
How it works
The DUO double cylinder operates via a precision-engineered pin tumbler mechanism actuated by an authorized key on either side. When correctly aligned by the matching key cuts, internal pins allow the plug to rotate smoothly within the housing—unlocking or securing the connected lock without need for electronic components.[7]
