The Abloy EL561 is a modular solenoid lock designed for high-security wooden or metal doors, offering electrically controlled access from both sides. Suitable for external and internal applications, it integrates with multiple control systems and access points.

- Reversible handing for left or right doors, easy configuration (Allen screw)
- Designed for Euro-profile cylinders (both double and half-cylinder, max 45° cam angle); spindle: 9 mm (adaptor for 8 mm)
- Backset options from 55 to 100 mm; centre distance 72 mm
- Power supply: 12–24 VDC (–10%, +15%); current draw: 550 mA (12 V), 270 mA (24 V)

Usage
This lock is installed as a mortise unit in the door and provides electrically-controlled access via external triggers such as keypads, badge readers, or switches. It supports both Fail Secure and Fail Safe modes, configurable on the lock. The door can always be mechanically opened with a key from either side. Status signals allow monitoring of lock state and usage, and auto-deadlocking enhances security after each closure.
