Usage
Designed for securely joining thin sheet materials, GESIPA standard aluminium/steel flat head rivets Ø4x14mm are commonly used in metal fabrication, automotive repair, and general construction applications.
Advantages
- Combines lightweight aluminium body with strong steel mandrel for reliable fastening strength
- Flat head profile ensures a low and neat installation on visible surfaces
- Quick and easy to install using standard blind riveting tools, even in hard-to-reach areas
- Suitable for permanent joints requiring access from only one side (blind side)
- The fixed mandrel design reduces the risk of loose debris after application
Specifications
- The rivet body is made from corrosion-resistant aluminium alloy; the mandrel is galvanized steel for added durability[1]
- Conforms to relevant industry standards regarding material combination and performance[1]
- Shaft diameter: 4.0 mm; total length: approximately 14 mm[3][4]; suitable grip range typically up to the length of the rivet minus head thickness
- Dome (flat) head design offers an optimal bearing surface to prevent pull-through on softer materials while maintaining a flush finish[1]
How it works
The rivet is inserted into a pre-drilled hole; as the tool pulls the mandrel, it expands and clamps material layers together. The mandrel breaks off automatically when secure clamping force is reached.
