Description

Product

Silicone neutre DL Chemicals AM85-1 is a dark grey, neutral-curing (RTV-1) silicone sealant in a 310ml or 300ml cartridge, designed for professional sealing of chassis, concrete, and wood joints, offering reliability in a wide range of environments.

Specifications

  • Uses neutral oxime curing technology as a 1-component silicone rubber.
  • Adheres without primer to most construction materials: glass, aluminum, reinforced concrete, wood, ABS, polystyrene, brass, bronze, stainless and galvanized steel, tiles, and treated wood.
  • Demonstrates strong resistance to ageing, UV, weather, and extreme temperatures from -50°C to +150°C.
  • Certified to ISO 11600 F&G 25 LM standards; permanent elasticity and MEKO-free composition.
  • Shore A hardness: 23; elastic recovery over 80%; deformation capability 25%; elongation at break approx. 300%.
  • Supplied ready to use; skin formation in about 15 minutes at room temperature.
  • Shelf life: 15 months in original packaging under dry conditions between +5°C and +25°C.

Usage

Apply directly to clean, dry surfaces for chassis, façade, expansion, or glazing joints in both interior and exterior construction. For absorbent substrates like concrete or brick, primer application is advisable. Once extruded, the silicone cures through atmospheric humidity, forming a durable, flexible seal.
