Description

Usage

Silicone neutre DL Chemicals AM85-1 gris béton RAL7023 310ml is designed for sealing connection and expansion joints in facades, interior walls, glazing, and between frames and walls on various building materials, including concrete and wood.

Advantages

  • Excellent adhesion to most construction materials without the need for primer
  • Permanently elastic, maintaining flexibility after curing
  • High resistance to UV rays and weathering for outdoor durability
  • Very easy to apply thanks to its thixotropic paste consistency
  • Not paintable; exposure to UV light ensures optimal colour stability (minor drawback)

Specifications

  • Formulated from neutral oxime curing polysiloxanes; MEKO-free compound in RAL7023 (concrete grey)
  • Carries CE/UKCA certifications: EN 15651-1 F EXT-INT 25 LM and EN15651-2 G25 LM; French VOC class A+; SNJF classification Façade 25E; ATG approval (Belgium)
  • Density: approx. 1.21 g/ml; Shore A hardness: 23 (ISO 868); Elastic recovery >80% (ISO 7389); Max permissible deformation: 25%; Application temp.: +5°C–+40°C; Temp. resistance: –50°C to +150°C;
  • Curing speed at standard conditions is approx. 2.5–3 mm/24 hours with a skin formation time of about 15 minutes at 23°C/50% RH.

How it works

The cartridge dispenses a single-component silicone sealant that cures by air humidity into a permanently elastic joint. Apply onto clean substrates using a caulking gun; suitable joint widths range from 5–30 mm with no primer needed on most surfaces.
